I used this as my title because it was an ongoing, repeated statement I made anytime someone asked me how I handled what I've been through. I tried not to cry or categorize myself as “weak”. I wrote about my issues and bottled a few things in over the years. Some issues I was embarrassed by, some, ashamed of, others I was strengthened by.
Collectively, this book signifies the roles I was put in; the pain, the joy, love, insecurities, flaws and all I have experienced. This book also has moments of infidelity, domestic violence, happiness and overall acceptance of who I am and we are. I also placed in these pages, the most traumatic experiences I've gone through and entailed the bittersweet moments; hint the cover of the book...

You had the courage to speak about thing people are normally fearful to speak about. I am so proud of you and the woman you've become. You blessed my soul with the poems about your experiences and I'm sure you've touched the souls of other women who've been through similar situations. You've conquered you're obstacles and it make you a better woman. I commend you for your bravery. I'm looking forward to the next book, in which I already plan to support.

Growing up I hated poetry, it just bored me. However, this poetry book is more like collective short stories and small motivational speeches. Reading this poetry book I felt as if me and the author were best friends and she was telling me about all her trails and tribulations and how she overcame them. This is a great read. "Insecurities" my poem favorite so far. Extremely relatable!
